What we collect

We keep data collection deliberately narrow. There is no advertising network on this site and no cross-site tracking.

• Email address, if you subscribe to the newsletter.
• Name, email and message content, if you use the contact form.
• Aggregate, privacy-preserving analytics: page views, referrer and country. No cookies are set for this.
• Standard server logs, including IP address, retained for 30 days for security purposes.

Why we collect it

Newsletter data is used only to send the newsletter. Contact form data is used only to reply to you and follow up on what you sent.

Analytics tell us which articles people find useful so we can commission more of that kind of work. They cannot identify individual readers.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we never will. We share data only with the processors needed to run the site: our email delivery provider, our hosting provider and our analytics provider.

We disclose data to authorities only where legally required, and we will tell you if that happens unless we are prohibited from doing so.

Cookies

This site sets one local preference to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. It stays on your device, is not sent to our servers, and is not used to identify you.

No advertising or tracking cookies are used anywhere on GeeklyPlug.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Write to support@geeklyplug.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes your address from our list rather than flagging it as inactive.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data in any material way, we will update this page and note the change in the newsletter before it takes effect.
