Most weeks we kill more than we run. A piece has to leave you able to do something you could not do before, or it does not go out.
No sponsored articles, ever
Advertising and editorial never touch. If we recommend something, nobody paid for that sentence and nobody previewed it.
We show our reasoning
Where a number came from, who we spoke to, what we could not confirm. If we were wrong, the correction sits on the original piece.
We follow problems, not a beat
These are the areas we have been writing in lately. It is a starting point rather than a boundary. If enough readers keep hitting the same wall somewhere new, that is where we go next.
